General presentation
Scientific research is a fundamental component of our
faculty, with a major contribution to the implementation of
the educational activity and in the education of the young
generation. Scientific research is developed in two
directions:
-
In the
faculty, individual or in teams on scientific domains or
interdisciplinary, in departments or research centres.
-
In
cooperation with other institutions or economic agents
Mission:
University scientific research is a complex activity and
includes the following aspects: training future researchers,
developing creativity, promoting excellence, scientific
knowledge, communication and information, self-evaluation
and competition, promoting the worthy, interdisciplinary and
team work, developing the applicative practice habits,
competence and moral satisfaction.
Resources:
-
Human
resources of the research activity are the teaching
staff, undergraduates and Master’s Degree students.
-
Material
resources are the laboratories and research equipment,
research centres, libraries and other locations in the
university that allow the development of such
activities, observing the legal regulations.
-
Financial
resources are provided by the Research fund of the
university, financial contributions resulted from
signing research contracts and other funds available for
such activities.
The main
directions of action of scientific research are:
-
Provision
of the efficient and effective management of the
scientific research activity;
-
Orientation of the research results
of the Faculty to the medium and long term needs of the
society;
-
Integration in international research networks;
-
Creation
of an amiable and scientific cooperation climate among
teaching staff;
-
Modernization of the material resources for scientific
research of the faculty.
